Hello, and welcome to the blog for the Forman Winterim Scotland:Travel Photography and Journalism! In the coming weeks, you will get to know the members of our trip, read about our days in Scotland, and see some stunning photographs of Scottish landscapes, castles, and other sights. For now, I've added a few photos from the 2016 Winterim trip to Scotland.
Day 4 - February 28th
This morning we woke up to a very snowy and a cold Edinburgh morning. Unfortunately we had plans to go see the Highlands today but that got canceled due to the snow. So our new plan was to walk through Edinburgh with our tour guide. We walked around the streets of Edinburgh in the windy weather and we saw some very interesting things. We saw many statues of people that were in Edinburgh’s history, for example Abraham Lincoln and John Knox. John Knox was the founder of Presbyterianism and was very anti-Catholic. Abraham Lincoln's statue was built in commemoration of six men from Edinburgh who went to America to fight slavery in the Civil War. We went inside a big church called St.Giles Cathedral. It was a beautiful church that was worth seeing. We went up Calton Hill which had view of the city centre and the sea. We took many pictures and saw the different sides of the city. We then walked down Calton Hill and walked on the other side of town. We walked right past the Scottis...
