Day 11 - March 7th

Hi I'm Celia Tucker (the one in the red that's not julia), I live in NY and I am 15 years old. I came to Forman last January as a mid- year so i have been at Forman for 1 1/2 years.  I am in Cedars dorm. I decided to come to Scotland because i thought that the architecture and history was interesting.

Today we drove down to St.Andrews. We stopped along the way at many different locations. The first location we stopped at was Loch Morlich, where we saw a lot of ducks. We started taking photos and then we split up into groups of four to work with Tom the photographer. Once in these groups he started to talk to us about manual setting and about how to change them because we were directly in the sun and the snow was reflecting the sun making it even brighter and how it would have been overexposed if didn't change them. He showed us how to change the ISO and the white balance as well as the aperture and where we should have the focus points. We went to 3 different locations around the pond to get 3 different shots. After that we stopped for lunch and then headed up to the Ski Mountain and made our first stop. We stopped a few feet away from the mountain and when we walked to the edge there were a ton of pine trees all lined up and behind that there were mountains that were just blending together. After that, we drove a little bit up the mountain to the ski lodge, and instead of having a chairlift they have a rope sort of thing that you hold onto and it pulls you up. Anyways, once we got up to the ski lodge we walked around a bit and took photos of the snowy mountain again but this time we also had an amazing view of the mountains with a lake in front and trees all around.  It was so pretty.
