Day 12 - March 8th
Hi my name is Julia Graef. Im 16 years old and I live in Boca
Raton, Florida. I am a sophomore in Chase dorm. This is my second year at Forman and I came as a mid year last
January. I chose to go on the winterim trip to Scotland because I really wanted
to explore other places outside of the United States. I also joined because I
really enjoy taking photos and writing.
Today is our last day in Scotland and we are currently staying in
St. Andrews. Todays was more of a relaxed day since we are preparing to leave
tomorrow. We went into the town in St. Andrews in the afternoon to eat lunch
and scope out the places that we would want to go to after visiting the
different sites. The first place we went to was the Golf course. It was such a
beautiful day today so there were a few golfers playing. We took some photos
and walked around. Mr. Bender gave us time to go into the St. Andrews golf
shop. The next place we went to was the castle which was just down the road
from the golf course. When we walked in, we first went through an exhibition
that explained how St. Andrews was created. We then walked outside and explored
the castle ruins. The last place we went to today was the cathedral just around
the corner from the castle. The lady at the castle told us that it would of
been closed by the time we got there but luckily enough, it wasn't. When you
first walked in, there are so many gravestones and ruins. We also took many
photos there, taking them from many different angles. When we finished
exploring parts of St. Andrews, we were given time to go shopping on our own in
the little town. At 5:45pm, we headed over to dinner, celebrated Amelia’s
birthday and enjoyed the rest of our night.
