Day 7 - March 3

My name is Tom Troy. I’m 18 years old and a senior. I chose to go on the Scotland Winterim because this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. I also consider myself a golf fan and I wanted to visit the famous golf course at St. Andrews. Also Scotland is great place to visit for my first time out of the country.

Today we were finally able to leave Edinburgh and pick up our rental cars. The car drive to the Isle of Skye was about 6 hours. We had a couple stops on the way where we took pictures of the beautiful mountains. We stopped in Glen Coe where we took pictures of three mountains called the Three Sisters. You were able to see if you looked closely up on the mountain people were climbing a frozen waterfall. The view from the car ride was beautiful with the hills and mountains and lochs. We took pictures of the Achnambeithach Cottage a very well known house in Glen Coe. Also saw plenty of sheep roaming in the fields along with a few goats and horses. We went over the Skye Bridge to get to the Isle of Skye.

My name's Matt Troy. I'm 18 years old and I'm from Norwalk CT. Some hobbies I have are playing sports, listening to music, and hanging out with my twin brother Tommy. I play three sports here at Forman - baseball, hockey and football. I chose the Scotland Winterim because I've never been out of the country and this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this part of Europe. I've heard great things about Scotland and the many different places to see, like the castles. I’m interested in getting a few lessons and opening my knowledge up about photography. I also would love to see one of the world's most famous golf course St. Andrews. I can't wait to see what's ahead.

Today we traveled to the Highlands to see the Isle of Skye after having to stay in Edinburgh for two extra nights due to weather conditions. We drove to Glencoe where we stopped to eat lunch and take pictures. The landscape and view was very nice. Some views I couldn't believe like people climbing up the frozen waterfall on The Three Sisters and a herd of red deer blending in with the scenery. The rest of the drive from Glen Coe to Skye was interesting.  For example, seeing one mountain on one side of the road having snow on them and the other side having no snow at all. It was a very green drive a lot of open fields and beautiful landscapes. I enjoyed the Highlands today.
